The opportunity.
ETISK is partnering with an international fashion business with a portfolio of owned and licensed brands. Its global teams develop the collections and brand direction. You’ll take responsibility for translating that into relevant assortments and coordinated seasonal launches across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you’ll contribute to the local leadership team and manage two direct reports across visual merchandising and inventory.
You’ll have influence across the full journey from assortment decisions to launch readiness, with direct access to the Country Manager and regular contact with regional and global teams.
What you’ll own.
- Own ANZ channel assortments, working with regional and global teams to select products that reflect local customers and commercial priorities.
- Manage seasonal new-product buys, using sales performance, market trends and competitor insights to inform recommendations.
- Build brand and category plans, coordinating product offerings, pricing, promotions, forecasting and inventory with the relevant teams.
- Lead the local go-to-market calendar, bringing together the activities and deadlines required for each seasonal launch.
- Align sales, marketing, visual merchandising and inventory teams ahead of launch, then coordinate a clear handover for in-season execution.
- Adapt global product presentations and assortment tools so they are useful and relevant to the ANZ market.
- Review seasonal results and share performance insights, risks and opportunities with regional and global stakeholders.
- Coordinate promotional calendars, distribution updates and approvals for new retail distribution points.
- Coach and develop the Senior Visual Merchandiser and Inventory Controller, setting priorities that support the wider commercial plan.
What you’ll bring.
- More than three years’ relevant experience in merchandising, inventory management and/or planning.
- Significant wholesale experience, including an understanding of different channel and customer requirements.
- Confidence working with assortments, sales data, forecasts and seasonal product plans.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to explain the reasoning behind your recommendations.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders and deadlines, ideally within a business with regional or global teams.
- The ability to lead and develop direct reports while remaining involved in the day-to-day work.
- A degree in Business, Merchandising, Economics or a related discipline.
- SAP or Navision experience would be an advantage.
Why consider it.
- There’s a commercial and analytical side to the position, alongside plenty of coordination. You’ll review product performance and recommend what happens next, while making sure sales, marketing, inventory and visual merchandising have the information and plans they need.
- Working within a global business means balancing local opportunities with international brand guidelines, approval processes and deadlines. The role will suit someone who enjoys making decisions with data, building productive relationships and following through on the detail.
- Based at the business’s head office on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this role covers Australia and New Zealand and reports directly to the Country Manager.
