Muscle Nation is one of Australia’s leading and fastest-growing brands in activewear, supplements and food. Our products, digital presence and connection with our customers are central to our growth and success, and we’re looking for a Shopify Developer to own and improve the technical side of our online store.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimising and building new features across our Shopify ecosystem, ensuring a smooth, high-converting shopping experience across all devices.

Working closely with our eCommerce Manager, you will take ownership of the development roadmap, improve core web vitals and support CRO and UX improvements that directly impact revenue. You will also build landing pages to support paid media campaigns, implement analytics tracking and manage ad-hoc development tasks as required.

We are looking for someone who actively embraces AI development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor as part of their workflow, using them to increase output, solve problems faster and work more efficiently.

Just some of what you will do....

• Maintain and optimise the Muscle Nation Shopify store for performance and reliability
• Own the development roadmap for new builds, features and site improvements
• Build and deploy high-converting, mobile-first landing pages
• Monitor and improve core web vitals and overall technical performance
• Support CRO and UX initiatives, including A/B testing elements
• Customise Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Manage third-party app integrations and troubleshoot issues
• Implement and maintain analytics tracking including Google Analytics, GTM and conversion pixels

The experience you will have

• Demonstrated Shopify development experience with a strong ecommerce track record
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with Shopify apps, APIs and integrations
• Experience with Git and structured deployment workflows
• Strong understanding of site performance optimisation and mobile-first design
• Working knowledge of GA, GTM and conversion tracking
• Experience supporting CRO initiatives
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools

Highly regarded: Shopify Plus experience, checkout extensibility, Shopify Flow, metafields, GraphQL and accessibility implementation.
