The Role
In this position, you will play a central part in growing and nurturing relationships with our existing customers through targeted, effective email and SMS campaigns. Working closely with our marketing and Ecommerce teams, you will focus on customer retention and maximising lifetime value through data-led strategy and automation.
As CRM Manager, you will own the end-to-end customer journey. Using platforms such as Klaviyo, you will build seamless and engaging lifecycle experiences, develop meaningful segmentation strategies, and continuously test and optimise performance to increase engagement, revenue and brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and optimise email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive retention and repeat purchase.
- Create targeted customer segments based on purchase behaviour, lifecycle stage and engagement metrics.
- Build and automate workflows in Klaviyo (or similar platforms), ensuring timely and relevant communication across customer groups.
- Collaborate with marketing and Ecommerce to align campaigns with product launches, promotions and broader business objectives.
- Design and execute A/B testing across subject lines, creative, calls to action and timing to improve performance.
- Analyse campaign results and customer data, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure campaigns are visually strong and aligned to the Muscle Nation brand.
- Stay up to date with CRM trends and best practice, refining strategy to maintain a competitive edge.
What This Looks Like in Practice
- You would have worked closely with the team to bring key trading moments like Black Friday to life - planning email, SMS and app pushes in line with the broader marketing plan.
- You would report daily performance back to the business during peak periods and proactively create new A/B tests to improve retention outcomes.
- You would build new segments across CRM channels to support sales activity and brief the in-house creative team to execute campaigns effectively.
- You would work directly with tech partners such as Klaviyo and Yotpo and build or update flows across email and SMS to reflect promotional changes.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in a CRM or email marketing role, ideally within Ecommerce or retail.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Klaviyo, including automation and SMS marketing.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, lifecycle marketing and performance analysis.
- A balance of creativity and commercial thinking, with the ability to build campaigns that look strong and deliver results.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Highly organised, detail oriented and comfortable managing multiple campaigns at once.
